Key Account Manager (m/f/d)

Your mission
  • Strategically manages allocated accounts, budget and resources provided, yielding maximum effectiveness and impact

  • Works closely with the Sales Lead Manager and other internal stakeholders on development of business and portfolio strategies, yearly budgets and quarterly projections, trade terms, price structures, profit margins

  • Develop a strong relationship with customers and understand what drives their decision making process

  • Facilitate account management by coordinating selling activities and customer interactions through effective leadership and communication with other areas to ensure appropriate customers’ needs are met

  • Ensure the execution of account plans including volume, promotional activity, visibility, logistics and financial information along with KPIs for measuring results

  • Negotiate and close annual and seasonal commercial agreements with account

  • Work closely with Finance to manage annual budgets

  • Provides strong leadership skills and direction to Junior Account Manager and Field Sales Representatives

  • Supports the company’s sales planning, controlling of discounts spending and sales results, reporting and budgeting requirements and processes

Your profile
  • Key Account Management experience from the FMCG or CPG industry with experience managing national customers

  • Fluent in English and German

  • People management experience preferred

  • Proven ability to build and establish an effective network and relationships

  • Significant, progressive sales experience covering a range of wholesale and retail environments, ability to quickly reduce customer and channel needs as well as the ability to unlock insights from data and use them to drive growth

  • Depth of experience in customer negotiations and sound knowledge of German retail environment

  • Self-starter with proven ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritize with demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines

  • Strong Business Acumen
